📢More 𝗕𝗜𝗚 news from the Newport/Priest River Rotary Club! We are so excited to FINALLY share with our communities about an upcoming art project that will involve our local students and artists.

Introducing the 𝗢𝗹𝗱𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗠𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁!🎨 This project is multi-phased starting with replacing damaged eco blocks in the retaining wall at the boat launch. Thank you, City of Oldtown!

Phase 1️⃣: Replace eco blocks, install bracket system and primed wood boards. Thank you to Skyler Fredrickson for volunteering to help with the install and to Selkirk Ace Hardware & Albeni Falls Building Supply, Inc. for their donations and discounts!

Phase 2️⃣: The most fabulous Paulina Fredrickson of Painted by Paulina is our skilled, and generous, artist who will be painting the landscape and letters 'Welcome to Oldtown, Idaho'.

Phase 3️⃣: We have invited local high school students from the surrounding schools to submit their art pieces to add to this incredible community artwork. A piece that proves "we are better when we work together". Students will add their pieces in July under the instruction and supervision of Paulina - examples: bear, fish, deer, an eagle, a fisherman, as skier in the mountains, native plants/flowers, etc. It's going to be fantastic!

✅The final stage includes sealing the artwork and sharing the finalized mural with the community and visitors of the Oldtown Rotary Park Boat Launch!
