The Federal Housing Finance Agency announced the new Conventional loan limits for 2024, as follows:

• 1-unit = $766,550
• 2-unit = $981,500
• 3-unit = $1,186,350
• 4-unit = $1,474,400
• *High-cost counties (LA/OC) = $1,149,825 for a one-unit loan

For single family comparisons, year over year, this is a 5.5% increase.

Note: FHA will not announce new county limits until the 1st of the new year. I will keep you posted in this regard.

Will mortgage rates go down in 2024
Fannie Mae , for example, projects 30-year fixed-rate mortgages will start 2024 at an average of 7.1% and fall to 6.7% by Q4 2024.
In 2024, do not anticipate mortgage rates to drop significantly. The current market environment leans towards stability rather than volatility and fear.
This stability is GREAT news. It allows buyers to create budgets and plan for their next move!
