Yesterday we got a call that’s never easy to receive:
“A tree fell through my house.”
Our first question is always, “Is everyone okay?” Closely followed by, “Do you need somewhere to stay while we get things sorted out?”
We met our customer and her contractor at the home to assess the damage. The very first thing the contractor said was:
“An agent still making house calls? That’s rare these days.”
My response?
“We are rare these days. But that’s the value of having an involved hometown agent. We’re here when you need us. That will never be replaced by AI or technology.”
As we walked through the home, we were reminded just how grateful we are for God’s protection. A large tree had crashed through the house and crushed her daughter’s bed. By the grace of God, she wasn’t home that night.
The damage to the house can be repaired. A life cannot.
We were honored to help get this family settled into temporary housing and provide a little peace during an incredibly stressful and uncertain time.
Moments like these are a reminder that insurance is about so much more than policies and premiums. It’s about showing up when people are scared, overwhelmed, and unsure of what comes next.
Today, we’re thankful for God’s protection, for the trust our customers place in us, and for the opportunity to be there when they need us most. ❤️
