I learned this the hard way. Hard workers are laid off every day simply because their job can be outsourced or is no longer needed.

Protect your family with your own policy. Don't rely on your employer sponsored plan to cover your family when you are no longer here or when you no longer have it.

How many of you are aware of the following?
- Your work insurance plan will not go with you when you leave your job or retire, if you even have one. (I learned this the hard way)
- Your work insurance or even a privately owned term policy is not permanent coverage either.
- Terms are just that. You are “renting” coverage, so to speak. I do love terms because they’re perfect during our working years to protect an income, a mortgage, even children’s education. However..
- Depending on the term you have, your payment schedule may increase as you age each year. (Read the fine print)
- Permanent insurance is the ONLY way to guarantee your final expenses are covered.
- Over 70% of people overestimate the cost of coverage. I can cover an entire family for less than you pay monthly for your cell phone bill. I make individual plans based on your needs, wants and goals.

Do you have permanent coverage? If you don’t and you outlive your term at 70 or 80, who is going to pay for the inevitable? Your kids? Grandkids?
How will you be sure the people you love can put food on the table when you’re gone if you have no coverage at all?

I literally cannot express this importance to plan now. No one wants to leave that burden on their family as they try to grieve your loss. Permanent insurance will never be cheaper than it is right this moment. None of us are immortal, none of us will live forever. Life can change in a heart beat, make the right choice today 💓
