Really excited to support the Southeastern Reined Cow Horse Association as an Open Derby Sponsor for the SERCHA Travelin Jonez Derby, Bridle Spectacular, & Horse Show! 🤠🐴

One of my favorite parts of being in the horse industry is getting to support the events, competitors, and communities that keep it growing.

As both a horse person and insurance specialist, I know how much time, money, and heart goes into this lifestyle. Proud to help protect the people behind it through Mane Trust powered by Markel Horse Insurance.

Be sure to stop by and see one of my team members this weekend at the show! 👋

One of my favorite compliments I’ve ever received had nothing to do with horses.

When I was in the military, I worked in income taxes.

People would come in overwhelmed, confused, and convinced taxes were basically a foreign language.

One thing I heard over and over was:

“You actually made this understandable.”

Honestly, that stuck with me.

Because now, that is exactly how I approach horse and farm insurance.

I never want people to feel intimidated asking questions or unsure what they are actually covered for.

You should understand:
• what your policy actually covers
• what it does not cover
• and what matters for YOUR situation

Not just be handed paperwork and hope for the best.

Insurance does not have to feel like a foreign language. 🤍

If you’re an equine professional… this includes YOU 👇

If you’re handling, working around, or responsible for someone else’s horse, you’re taking on risk every single day.

And here’s what I see all the time:

• Freelance grooms assuming they’re covered under someone else
• Braiders traveling show to show with zero liability coverage
• Bodyworkers using equipment without protection in place
• No Care, Custody & Control included at all

The hard truth?
That’s exactly when something happens.

Not to scare you… but to make sure you’re actually protected the right way.

Because one accident, one injury, one situation…
can turn into something expensive really fast.

If you want me to take a look at what you have (or don’t have yet), I’m happy to help.

Having the best weekend at the Nature Coast Western Dressage Show. 🐴🤎

I’m here competing and getting to meet so many great people. I just love the western dressage crowd. Truly some of the kindest, most supportive horse people around.

Grateful to be in the arena and part of this community.

If you’re here this weekend, come say hi 😊

Most trainers assume their liability coverage keeps up with their program.

But if you:
– Travel to shows
– Lease horses
– Host clinics

Your exposure may look different than you think.

I offer private coverage reviews for equine professionals.

Comment “REVIEW” and I’ll message you privately.

Or send me a DM directly.

You don’t need insurance because you expect something bad to happen.

You need it because horses are involved, people are involved, and life happens.

Many horse owners assume their farm or homeowners policy covers everything. Often it doesn’t fully protect lessons, training, boarding, hauling, or horses off your property.

Mane Trust exists to help you understand what you actually have and whether it fits how you live and work with horses.

If you’ve ever wondered if you’re truly covered, feel free to message me. I’m always happy to talk it through.

Horse people are incredible planners. 📆 Feed schedules, vet care, training programs, show calendars.

Insurance usually gets pushed to the bottom of the list until something happens.

My goal with Mane Trust is simple. Help horse owners and equine professionals protect what they’ve built before they’re forced to.

If you own horses, teach, train, board, haul, or work in the industry and aren’t completely sure what you’re covered for, that’s a conversation worth having.

My inbox is always open. 🐴

🐴 Equine Insurance 101

Horse insurance isn’t about expecting the worst — it’s about protecting the investment you’ve already made.

A few things every horse owner should know:
• Mortality coverage is the foundation
• Major Medical helps with unexpected vet bills
• Add-ons matter more than people realize
• Reporting non-routine care on time can make or break a claim

Don’t shop insurance on price alone. Coverage quality and policy details matter far more when you actually need it.

Save this post if you own a horse — it could save you thousands later.

Every day that goes by, a farrier either builds confidence in their protection or keeps hoping they won’t need it.

Preparation doesn’t have to be complicated.
If you want to be better protected in your business, you don’t need to wait for a big scare.
Sometimes it’s as simple as sitting down and actually understanding your coverage.

And what are you really practicing?

Knowing what your liability truly covers.
Understanding if you have Care, Custody & Control and what that actually means.
Knowing what happens if a horse gets hurt while you’re working.
Knowing if your truck, tools, and equipment are protected.
Knowing what happens if someone files a claim.
Knowing who you call when something goes sideways.

And mostly, reducing stress when things don’t go as planned.

Or you can do none of the above on any given day
and be zero steps closer to feeling confident when it matters most.

Because that, developing familiarity with protection,
is the essence of being prepared.

Not panic decisions.
Not scrambling after the fact.
Just quiet confidence that you already did the work before you needed it.

In a profession built on consistency, skill, and showing up every day,
peace of mind should be part of the toolkit too.
