Old Line Wealth Partners

Old Line Wealth Partners Rooted in strength. Focused on you. Fiduciary wealth planning for families and business owners.

Old Line Wealth Partners grew out of something simple and steady: the way families and business owners in our community show up for one another. The name reflects that heritage—strength, resilience, and a commitment to doing things the right way, even when it takes longer. After more than a decade in the financial planning industry, Kyle Tosh founded Old Line Wealth Partners in 2025. The firm is t

he culmination of years spent guiding local families, learning their stories, and recognizing that the best financial planning happens when advice is personal, steady, and rooted in long-term partnership. Kyle leads the team, but the firm itself runs on shared strengths—planning, investments, operations, and service all working together for the client. Old Line Wealth Partners is deeply connected to the communities it serves. The team supports local organizations, youth programs, and events throughout Maryland and Delaware, reflecting the same ties and relationships that shaped the firm from the beginning. Those community connections will show up here as naturally as they do in everyday life. Financial planning at Old Line isn’t a sales pitch or a product shelf. It’s a fiduciary partnership designed for families, business owners, and professionals who want clarity and trusted guidance. The team handles the complexity so clients can stay focused on the parts of life that matter most. This page offers a window into that work: planning insights, community highlights, firm updates, and the occasional behind-the-scenes look at the people who keep Old Line Wealth Partners moving forward. The firm carries forward Maryland’s old motto, “Fatti maschii, parole femine”—strong deeds, gentle words—and tries to bring that spirit into every client relationship and every community connection.

I know most of our followers are probably tired of hearing about Trump Accounts by now, but I promised I’d keep everyone updated as I went through the process myself.

Well…the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation money is real.

The $250 gifts just hit the Trump Accounts for my older two kids. They weren’t eligible for the $1,000 Treasury contribution because of their ages, but they did qualify for the Dell contribution based on our ZIP code.

So there you have it. I volunteered my own kids as the guinea pigs, filled everything out, and can now confirm the money actually showed up.

If you have a child 10 or under, take a few minutes and check. The whole process is pretty painless, and $250 for 10 minutes of your time isn’t a bad hourly rate.

As always, if you get stuck or have questions, give us a call. Happy to help.

We’ve loved seeing all the college drop-off posts and pictures this week. Such an exciting (and probably a little emotional) milestone for families.

Here’s one small thing that’s easy to overlook in all the excitement. Hopefully, it’s something you never need, but you’ll be very glad you planned ahead if you ever do.

Worth passing along to anyone with a college-bound kid, grandkid, niece or nephew.

This past weekend, Old Line Wealth Partners was honored to purchase the Reserve Champion Market Hog at the Cecil County Fair 4-H Livestock Sale.

Congratulations to Kendall on an outstanding project, and thank you for trusting us to be your buyer.

Events like this are a great reminder that 4-H is about so much more than livestock. These young men and women spend months caring for their animals while balancing school, sports, jobs, and family responsibilities. Along the way, they develop discipline, accountability, communication skills, financial literacy, and the confidence to market something they’ve invested countless hours into.

Kendall was a great example of what makes this program special. Before the sale, she mailed prospective buyers information about her project. At the auction, she greeted us with a handshake, confidently answered questions about her animals, and had a thoughtful thank-you gift prepared for the buyer. That level of professionalism and gratitude says a lot about her, her family, and the values 4-H helps cultivate.

Congratulations to all of this year’s exhibitors. Your hard work and dedication were on full display, and we’re proud to support a program that is helping develop the next generation of leaders in our community.

We weren’t able to make it to the grand opening on Saturday (we were at the 4-H livestock auction).

Excited to be a part of The Inside Scoop, LLC’s “Imagination Village” this Summer/Fall.

Can’t wait to check it out and watch the kids explore. The adults will probably will be obligated to treat ourselves to ice cream while we’re there… It’d be rude not to.

Quick update on the Trump Accounts... (sorry for another lengthy post)

Received an email today to finish the process, I had to download the "Trump Account" app and verify each child's account. Yes it is called TrumpAccount in the App store - and it somehow already has six thousand 4.8 star reviews

Ironically, the verification took longer than the original application.

Expect to verify your email, phone number, and each child's date of birth and Social Security number (again) before everything is finalized.

The good news? Navy's account is now showing that her $1,000 Treasury contribution is on the way and should arrive within about a week.

You are entering into a custodial agreement with Robinhood, which was selected as the first participating custodian alongside BNY Mellon. My understanding is that additional custodians should be come online allowing families to transfer their accounts if they choose.

I've also seen quite a bit of discussion online about contributing the annual maximum and then potentially doing a large Roth conversion when the child is 18 or 19, while they're in a very low tax bracket.

That's a legitimate planning strategy for some families, but like most things in financial planning, "it depends."

For W-2 families with extra cash flow and a long time horizon, it's certainly worth exploring. For many business owners, though, I still think a Custodial Roth IRA often ends up being the better tool.

There isn't a one-size-fits-all answer.

As always, if you'd like to talk through your family's situation—or if you simply want help getting the account set up—give our office a call. We're learning this program right alongside everyone else, and I'm happy to share what we've found so far.

There has been a lot of discussion about the new Trump Accounts this year, and yesterday was the day they went live. I set up an account for each of my kids this morning, and figured I'd share my experience.

Who qualifies?

Children born between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2028 can receive a $1,000 federal deposit into a newly established Trump Account.

There's also a separate program through the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation that will contribute $250 to the first 25 million activated accounts for qualifying children age 10 and under who live in ZIP codes with a median household income below $150,000.

Your household income doesn't matter—it's based on your ZIP code. Rising Sun qualifies, and I also checked at least one Newark, DE ZIP code that qualified.

You can check eligibility here:

investamerica.org/dell

Just enter your child's birth year and your ZIP code. The site uses Census data and immediately tells you whether your child qualifies for the Dell contribution.

Setting up the account

I started from investamerica.org, which links you to your IRS Online Account (the same place many people make quarterly estimated tax payments). If you don't have one, set it up - not too difficult, but does require multifactor authentication through IDme.

If you go in from one of the "feeder" pages, it will plop you right on the landing page and you will click "Begin Form". If you go in through your normal IRS account, you can click "Forms" at the top right, and get to the form that way. You are filling out IRS Form 4547 electronically. Your information will pre-fill, so you will just need to have your child's name, date of birth, Social Security number, and your relationship to them.

You can add multiple children during the same session.

For my youngest (born this year), the system allowed me to elect the $1,000 federal contribution. My older two aren't eligible for that deposit, but their account applications are processing and should still be considered for the Dell contribution. Both of these contributions are supposed to happen automatically - my applications are still in "processing" so I can't prove that (yet).

The entire process for all three kids took me less than five minutes.

There is also a Trump Accounts app available, but I went through the IRS portal and will probably download the app once everything is active.

My take

Every family's situation is different, so this isn't personal financial advice.

For my own family, I wanted to claim the available free money. Beyond that, I don't currently plan to make additional contributions. I think there are other planning strategies, and account types that make a lot more sense depending on your goals. Regardless of your political stance (or the name of the account), it is "free" money for your kids (unless you consider the fact that your tax dollars are funding a lot of it).

If you'd like to compare these accounts with other options or talk through whether they fit into your family's overall financial plan, I'm happy to do that.

If you're a client, or even if you're not, feel free to call the office. We're happy to walk parents or grandparents through the process or answer any questions we can.

Michael and Susan Dell are committing $6.25 billion to help 25 million children start investing early, putting $250 into investment accounts for children 10 and under so more families can begin building financial futures.
