**Are We in a Buyer's Market? Here's What I'm Seeing as a Loan Officer**
As a mortgage loan officer, I talk to buyers, agents, and lenders every day, and one of the big questions I keep hearing is: “Are we in a buyer’s market yet? Or when will we be in a buyer's market?"
A buyer’s market typically means more inventory, slower sales, and more negotiating power for buyers. While we’re not fully there across the board, I can tell you this: the market is changing compared to the last couple of years.
Here’s what I’m seeing:
✅ Sellers are starting to offer more concessions
✅ Buyers have a bit more room to negotiate (finally!)
✅ Some homes are staying on the market longer
✅ And yes, rates are still high(relatively), but they’ve been more stable recently
This actually creates some unique opportunities for buyers who are prepared. If you're pre-approved and ready to go, you may be in a better position than you think.
I’m also helping clients navigate today’s market with smart financing strategies: like rate locks and seller-paid closing costs, to make deals work in your favor.
If you’re wondering whether now is the right time to buy (or refinance), let’s talk! I’ll run the numbers and help you make a smart, informed decision.
