Taylor and Michelle had a blast at the Downtown Newark Association Chocolate Walk last weekend, handmaking chocolate suckers and chatting with so many friendly faces. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hi and grab a treat!

Events like this are a big part of what makes our community special, and we love being part of them.

This week, we celebrate Charlotte Blade! 🎉

After more than 21 years of dedicated service, Charlotte Blade, Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager of our Downtown Newark office, is retiring — capping off a banking career that spanned decades.

Charlotte has spent her career quietly going above and beyond for the people she serves. She’s seen customers through so many of life’s biggest moments — births, marriages, home purchases — and has been a steady, trusted presence through all of it. One story says it all: Charlotte regularly helped a customer navigate their mail, walking them through their bills and making sure everything got paid, an act that meant everything to the person on the other side of it. That’s Charlotte — there’s rarely anything she wouldn’t do for her customers or her coworkers.

That same spirit carried into her community, where she’s served her church family for years, bringing the same warmth and generosity she brought to the branch every day.

What Charlotte built over her career, at First Federal and in our community — is truly special, rooted in a genuine interest in the people she served and their families.

We celebrated Charlotte with her First Federal family this week, and we’re so grateful for the chance to have honored her.

🎉 Please join us in congratulating Taylor Truewell on her move to Branch Manager of our Downtown Newark office! 🎉

Taylor joined First Federal in July 2019 on our Downtown Newark retail team, and has consistently demonstrated exceptional initiative, leadership, and professionalism ever since. After becoming a key contributor at the Main Office early in her tenure, she was promoted to Branch Manager at North Newark, where she grew her team, supported customer service continuity during the Main Office remodel, and built lasting relationships with her customers and community.

In November 2025, Taylor was promoted to Officer by First Federal's Board of Directors — a recognition of the impact she's made across branches, teams, and projects — supporting Retail Operations through new account reviews, serving as fraud backup, and playing a critical role on the Business Continuity Team.

She's also a Certified Financial Health Counselor, an advisor for the Benefit Bridge program, a graduate of the Community Leadership of Licking County program, and active in the community through the 20th Century Club, Newark Kiwanis, Women's Leadership Network, and Licking County Young Leaders.

We're excited to welcome Taylor to Downtown Newark — congratulations, Taylor, this is so well-deserved! 👏

🎉 Please join us in congratulating Jay Williams on his move to Branch Manager of our Heath branch! 🎉

Jay joined First Federal in May 2022 as a Customer Service Representative in our Downtown Newark branch, quickly demonstrating his enthusiasm for learning every aspect of banking. He was promoted to Lead CSR, and his hard work and calm, friendly approach to customer service didn't go unnoticed — he went on to become Branch Manager of our Granville office, where he naturally stepped into leadership and helped grow the team.

Jay consistently brings a steady, positive presence wherever he goes, always looking for ways to grow his knowledge and lending a hand to newer team members along the way. He's also one of our Certified Personal Financial Health Counselors, helping members of our community better understand their financial picture, and has built strong community ties through his work with the YMCA Healthy Kids Network.

We're thrilled to welcome Jay to our Heath branch and can't wait to see him continue to grow there!
