After a fire tore through an apartment building in Elmhurst, New York, all but devouring an entire floor, many remain bewildered and unsure of their next step as they take shelter at PS 13Q. The intense flames necessitated the action of 200 firefighters, and forced 400 residents from their homes. volunteers mobilized, preparing hot meals for those affected, and as these residents have lost much to the blaze, volunteers aided in registering residents for financial assistance.
