Last week, my firm obtained a loan modification for a family that was days away from losing their home through the HAMP program. It's a fantastic program that the Obama administration started in 2009 to help homeowners who had fallen behind on their mortgage payments. The modification my firm obtained cut my client's mortgage interest rate in half and extended out the life of the loan to forty years.

I got a great settlement for my clients in housing court this week. I represented the tenants. The landlord waived several months in rental arrears, and offered to let them stay, rent free, for another few months. Landlord's attorney then surprised me by saying that the landlord would also agree to return their security deposit. As much as I wanted to go to trial and win, it was too good of an offer to turn down.
