One thing I’ve noticed over the years is how quickly a business can change.
You hire a few people.
You land a bigger client.
You start using new technology.
You move into a new space.
None of those changes may seem huge on their own.
But add them together, and the business you’re running today can look pretty different from the one you insured a few years ago.
That’s usually where some of the most important insurance conversations start.
I’m less interested in asking a business owner, “What coverage do you have?” and more interested in asking, “What has changed since you put that coverage in place?”
Sometimes the answer is nothing significant.
Other times, a ten-minute conversation uncovers something that should have been addressed a long time ago.
If you haven’t looked at your insurance program in a while, think about what’s changed in your business over the last year.
What’s changed most in your business over the past 12 months?
