We applaud the FTC for going after phantom debt. It is nearly impossible for most people to tell the difference between phantom debt (that is entirely bogus) from debt claims based on very old accounts that have been bought and sold many times (debt that is only mostly bogus). Take the FTC's advice and know your rights. Ask for verification in writing when the debt collector calls.

We are thrilled to announce that DaisyDebt has been selected as one of the Princeton University Tiger Challenge projects. We will also be working with Dignity + Debt Network (a partnership with the Social Science Research Council).

Tiger Challenge recently announced four new projects to begin October 28, 2018. Students in the upcoming cohort will tackle challenges in adolescent mental and physical health, supplier equity, predatory debt collection, and the opioid crisis. Apply now
