October 2024: This past weekend, Merchant Financial Group held its annual networking event at the Far Hills Race Meeting. It was a great day with perfect Fall weather, exciting horse races, and wonderful people. A big thank you to President / CEO Adam Winters, his wife Ali Winters, and the Merchant team for bringing us all together every Fall for an amazing event. Merchant Financial Group continues to be proud supporters of the Far Hills Race Meeting’s charitable donation to local healthcare organizations. Over the years, the Far Hills Race Meeting has provided more than $20 million to support local healthcare organizations. This year's beneficiaries include: Robert Wood Johnson, University Hospital Somerset, Crossroads4Hope, The Arc of Somerset County, Community in Crisis, LifeCamp, and Bonnie Brae.

Merchant Financial Group has had the pleasure of working with iApparel Brands for over a year now and is proud to be a supporter of the business. We recently caught up with Sammy Catton, President of iApparel Brands. He was kind enough to share some insight on his experience with Merchant as lender and partner. “I’ve never worked with anyone where the process was so collaborative. There’s an old way of factoring and a new way, and I believe Merchant embodies the new way of factoring and financing your business. They have a pulse on today’s industry and the needs of manufacturers today”.

Merchant Financial Group is pleased to welcome Dan Taliaferro to the team in the role of Account Executive/Analyst. Dan brings three and a half years of experience in public accounting doing real estate audits in both the commercial and residential area. Before joining Merchant, Dan worked for Friedman LLP and then Marcum LLP when the firms merged in September of 2022. He later used his experience in real estate auditing to transition into property accounting in the not-for-profit space at Phipps Houses Services, Inc., where he was the Senior Property Accountant for five of Phipps residential properties. Dan felt now was a great time to transition to a lender where he could use his accounting experience to help growing businesses. He has always taken pride in helping companies and feels MFC gives him a tremendous opportunity to expand on this day to day. Welcome aboard Dan, we wish you nothing but success at Merchant in your new roles.

Merchant Financial Group congratulates Joshua Goodhart & The New Business Team on the closing of a $25 million factoring deal with a California lifestyle brand that specializes in beach and surf wear. Founded in 2013, the business has 2 successful global recognized brands selling products via their wholesale and e-comm channels, as well as their own retail locations.

The company expects to take advantage of the warmer climate in 2024 and hopes to capitalize on some changes that have taken place with their direct competitors in which they feel they can gain a significant portion of the market share. MFC will provide the company with a working capital facility to help them reach their goals during this time period of expansion. The facility will establish a revolving line of credit against the company’s receivables and inventory, as well as providing them with an additional term loan for added working capital support. The new loan is made to accommodate the client's ever-growing needs and support the company in reaching its projected annual sales for 2024 and beyond.

On June 8th, 2024, National Jewish Health hosted its annual Black & White Ball honoring Rosario Jauregui and Bill Schoenholz with the prestigious Humanitarian Award.

It was an enchanting gala where we recognized these leaders in the Los Angeles professional services industry for their civic and charitable contributions to their communities. Close to 500k was raised to benefit children and adults from across the country who are provided overwhelming medical treatment by National Jewish Health, the nation’s leading respiratory hospital. Guests gathered at the Beverly Hills Hilton, hosting over 300 of Los Angeles’ top attorneys, CPAs, finance professionals, and executives in the apparel, real estate, investment banking and entertainment industries. The event’s success is a testament to the commitment and generosity of its supporters ensuring that NJH continues to lead as the premier respiratory hospital in the nation. Merchant Financial Group congratulates SVP, New Business, Rosario Jáuregui on the closing of a $22 million factoring facility with a Los Angeles based luxury fashion brand that sells vintage-inspired denim and ready-to-wear clothing. Launched in 2014, the contemporary apparel brand quickly grew and became known for reconstructing branded vintage jeans and t-shirts into modern fits.

The company is expected to have successful 2024, exceeding expectations via wholesale, online, and retail sales channels. The new loan will support the company’s anticipated annual sales of over $30 million for 2024. Merchant's facility will establish a revolving line of credit against the company’s receivables and inventory, while also protecting the receivables with our non-recourse factoring product. This is another example how MFC tailored a perfect solution that supports the new clients' ever-growing needs.
