Our AmeriVet team was thrilled to share a toast at the recent launch of The Epicure Room in New York City. This momentous occasion, brought to life by Milk Money Kitchens, was not just a celebration of a new beginning but a salute to the many hands and hearts that made this dream a reality. The evening's ambiance was elevated with light bites from Portable Provisions, rightfully named one of NYC's must-have caterers, and groovy beats by DJ Tyler-From-Where set the mood, making every moment unforgettable.

At AmeriVet Securities, we've been privileged to witness the remarkable journey of Milk Money Kitchens from concept to fruition. It's a veteran-owned beacon of innovation, founded by Nancy Preston, a United States Military Academy at West Point graduate who embodies the resilience and leadership our veterans are celebrated for.

Our Service Academy Networking events, hosted at our New York City office, have been catered by Milk Money Kitchens, enhancing each event with their unparalleled hospitality and service. And now, as we gather in The Epicure Room, we're not just celebrating the opening of a new event venue and kitchen facility. We're honoring the dreams and hard work of our veteran brothers and sisters who've paved the way for future food entrepreneurs in NYC.

In celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, our AmeriVet Securities team, a proud blend of military and Wall Street veterans, embodied the spirit of unity and service that Dr. King championed. We joined forces with The Mission Continues for a day of meaningful volunteer work.

Our AmeriVet team united with the NYC Platoons at the historic George P. Davis American Legion Post 116 in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, on January 13th.

Our mission was clear and impactful. We rolled up our sleeves to:
1. Clear out the basement and second floor, making room for future community events.
2. Repaint the main floor, clean the shed, sand the ceiling, and install new light bulbs.
3. Reorganize the kitchen and refurbish the door in the women's bathroom.

At AmeriVet Securities, we're committed to embodying these ideals not just today, but every day. We're proud to have been a part of this transformative event, and we look forward to continuing our journey of service and community engagement.

We're thrilled to share the fantastic start to our year with James Fitzgerald, Strategic Communications & Engagement Associate, and Sidney Covington, Veteran Engagement Associate, representing AmeriVet Securities at the Student Veterans of America 16th Annual National Conference (NatCon)!

is renowned as the largest gathering of student veterans nationwide, bringing together chapters from nearly 1,600 campuses in the U.S. and abroad. It's a melting pot of ideas, best practices, and networking opportunities for student veterans, military-connected students, their families, and a vast network of supporters and allies, including corporate, government, and nonprofit partners.

This year's conference was a powerhouse of inspiration and leadership, featuring headline speakers like Jared Lyon, SVA National President & CEO; Denis McDonough, U.S. Secretary of Veteran Affairs; and Roberto Rodriguez from the U.S. Department of Education. Their insights and experiences added an invaluable dimension to the conference, inspiring all attendees, including our own James and Sidney.

Attending events like NatCon, not only highlights our commitment to student veterans but also reinforces our dedication to staying abreast of the evolving landscape of veterans' education and professional development.

Last week, VETS Indexes hosted the Fall 2023 Employing U.S. Vets Virtual Conference. This semi-annual conference included discussions of best practices and challenges related to veteran employment, recognition of companies going above and beyond for vets and their families, and lots of opportunities to network.

AmeriVet Securities was honored to have our Strategic Communications and Engagement Associate, James Fitzgerald, participating in the expert breakout session entitled "Broken" or Superheroes: Combatting misconceptions and stereotypes about veterans.

The virtual conference was designed to offer attendees actionable tools and information to establish and build upon veteran initiatives. It also provided a great opportunity to network with peers from leading companies and industries.

Last week, the AmeriVet Securities team hosted a hybrid event with FourBlock, with attendees joining in-person and virtually. The in-person portion of the event took place at our Chicago office and was led by Sidney Covington, Veteran Engagement Associate and Fourblock alumni.

is a nation-wide organization that works to bridge the gap between transitioning veterans and the business community. Their programs are designed to build meaningful professional relationships and prepare veterans for a successful transition to the corporate world. This event reintroduced Fourblock to the area and included a networking session for those in attendance.

In partnership with AmeriVet Securities, the Foundation for Women Warriors presented the “Women Veterans in Corporate America” panel discussion event hosted at the Veterans Association of North County Resource Center in Oceanside, California. The esteemed panelists, all women veterans, discussed a variety of topics including mentorship, the value veterans bring to the workforce, and the importance of taking ownership of your job hunt.

Attendees had an opportunity to network with other local women veterans while also connecting with hiring representatives from companies, such as Bose, and organizations providing employment support.

To commemorate the 22nd anniversary of the attacks of September 11th, our Strategic Communications & Engagement Associate, James Fitzgerald, joined the Travis Manion Foundation 9/11 Heroes Run taking place at Randall Island Park in New York City. He was accompanied by runners, ruckers, and walkers of all ages and fitness levels to honor the heroes of 9/11 and those who've served our nation since.

The TMF 16th Annual 9/11 Heroes Run 5K Race Series kicked off in over 90 communities around the country to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, as well as our veterans, military, and first responders who serve our country and communities. Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) unites communities to strengthen America’s national character by empowering veterans and families of fallen heroes to develop and lead future generations.
