There are several companies hiring seasonal and permanent employees over the next few weeks!!!! Appropriate dress and an updated resume are the two most important steps in getting the interview.

Here’s a little snapshot of how employers decides whom to call for and interview.

Step 1:
I go through the resume and get rid of all those who do not meet the minimum qualifications for the position (if the position requires a high school diploma or GED I automatically dispose of those who do not have one).
Step 2:
I then scan the resume for obvious errors; the reason for this is that it tells how much pride one takes in their work. We want to hire people who will take the position seriously and who takes pride in how they present themselves to others. I then list the resume in order of least error to greatest error.

Step 3:
I now begin reviewing the resumes. If for example I have 2 positions available and have 50 applications for the position, once the review process starts I go down the list until I have located 10 qualifying resume. If the first 10 candidates qualify, then I will not review the others. That means the last 40 candidates resumes will be overlooked! There could have possibly been a better qualifying candidate down the list, however I have looked past him/ her because of how they presented themselves on paper.

How to get your Taxes Started even if you haven’t received your W2 s!!!!

If you’ve:
received W2: You will be asked to choose which location you would like to visit to sign the paper work. Prices vary depending on location. You must fill out the first 3 document http://www.peartaccountingfirm.com/faq.html under forms. (Only fill out business if you are a business owner).

• Not received W2: We will send you a link to your secure vault after you have filled out the first 3 questionnaire. Once you receive you document upload it to the vault and you taxes will be filed ASAP. You won’t have to sit and wait!

These are some of the questions that I have been receiving from my clients.

1. I have not received my W2 from my employer, can i still register?
Yes.
You do not have to have all your document prior to registering. It is recommended that you begin the document process even if you have not yet receive your tax documents from your employer.

2. Do I have to pay for my registration ?

No. There is no charge for the registration. The amount you chose when you were making the initial registration is the amount you will pay for the preparation of you State and Federal taxes. THERE ARE NO ADDITIONAL HIDDEN FEES. You will have an invoice emailed to you after your initial appointment that shows the exact amount you will be charged. You will be asked agree to the amount.
