For years developers have been saying the same thing: America doesn’t just have a housing affordability problem, it also has a housing shortage. The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act recognizes exactly that.
The country didnt build enough homes to keep up with demand. Rising energy costs, higher construction costs and higher interest rates made new housing more expensive to build. As a result, the US continues to face a shortage of housing. At the same time, regions like Hazleton and Northeastern Pennsylvania are experiencing tremendous economic growth. Data centers, logistics hubs, manufacturing expansion and industrial parks are bringing thousands of new jobs to the area. Jobs mean people and people need housing.
The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act is an important step in the right direction designed to remove unnecessary barriers to development and help increase the housing supply across the country.
