2020 in the house! We made it, but who would've thought?

I kinda crawled into the new year, with a massive cold. But today I'm here, ready. Standing on 2 legs and making the best of what I have and giving it all I got. πŸŽ‰

This year, we will make that money, save that money, invest that money. Believe in it.

Cuz hey. Look at us. Yes, us. We gonna do it big. πŸ’ͺ

Boo! Back from my hiatus, in time for a πŸ‘» post. As a kid, I'd go to the Village parade with my dad almost every year. I had so much fun seeing adults playing dressup. The parade was free, it was fun, and hecks yeah I got to stay up (and out) late!

I dont have the same zeal for staying out late these days, but I'll make an exception for Halloween. Even though it's pouring all day, I'm excited to show off my costume and check out the parade later! πŸŽƒ

New blog post up "Replacement for Mint - Update!" Ever since Mint changed its app interface, the UX (user experience) is overridden with ad placements. Yes, it's free because of the partnerships and referrals it makes, but as a savvy consumer, I need to look for new options now. I review my experience with 1 major competitor to Mint that I'm planning to switch over too, and 2 interesting money apps from new contenders.

Check out my blog post and let me know what app you use to track your money!

New blog post up "10 under $10 - Weekday Lunch Spots in Manhattan." Pro tips for spending under $10 at a hot buffet or salad bar: - Make a base of leafy greens instead of rice and grains. It'll weigh virtually nothing! - Don't get too many heavy items that aren't a good value by weight (e.g. hard boiled eggs, grains, potato wedges, cold cuts) - Do drain off sauces and don't get fatty cuts of meat. - Don't get more than 5-6 different items; it's a meal, not a smorgasburg!

Location: Whole Foods Bryant Park
Item: Hot buffet strip steak, sweet chili soy nuggets, sweet peppers, potato salad, and a base of mixed greens.
Price: $7.17 after tax
Worth it?: πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜‹ Super hearty, filling, and delicious!

Eat well my friends! Here's another foodie review. I caught up with two friends for dinner at a Korean spot πŸ˜‹

Dishes shared: Rice bowl with spicy pork, Korean seafood pancake, and Korean rice cake with bulgogi

Total Price: $20.25pp includes tax+tip

Worth it?: Yes! We over-ordered and ate too much. My friends agreed the food was awesome. The rice cake dish was huge and a little too spicy for us. The other dishes were perfect. BARO is prob known more for it's strong cocktail game and happy hour drinks, but I say get the food!
