FRANK IMUNDI was born in New York City in 1946 into a family that included a United States Marshal and a New York City Fire Chief. John’s University and, at age 22, continued his family’s tradition of public service by joining the New York City Police Department. Rising rapidly through the ranks, he was promoted in a near-record two years to Detective, one of the youngest in the history of the force. For the next fifteen years, he worked on countless cases, including domestic and international drug-related matters in conjunction with federal prosecutors. During the last eight of those years, he was a member of New York District Attorney Robert Morgenthau’s prestigious investigative unit, handling intricate, high-profile white collar and organized crime cases. The recipient of fifteen Citations for Excellence, he retired from the Department in 1985. That same year, he launched his own investigative and security consultancy, taking on a broad spectrum of casework, developing a full range of security programs for both corporations and private clients, and pinpointing, gathering and analyzing intelligence for highly confidential special projects (including, most recently, playing a key role in the federal conviction of a former foreign head of state on complex money laundering charges). He has four children, ages 19 to 42 and is an active judo player, ranked either # 1 or # 2 on the U.S. Masters circuit and competing nationally and internationally for the past nine years through the New York Athletic Club.In 2012 he earned a Bronze Medal at the 2012 World Championship in Miami , Florida ; He also earned a Silver Medal at the 2011 World Judo
Championship in Frankfurt, Germany and a Bronze Medal at the
2010 World Judo Games in Canada.
