🎉 As the Port Authority of Douala Official kicks off its 150th anniversary celebrations, we at Azamra take a moment to honor the extraordinary leadership of its General Manager, Mr. Cyrus Ngo’o.
Back in March 2025, our team—alongside our partners led by the U.S. Executive Business Office in Douala met with the GM of the PAD and his senior management to present our real-time domestic payment solutions and their potential impact on port operations.
To our surprise, Mr. Ngo’o didn’t just listen—he counter-pitched. He challenged us to think bigger, broader, and bolder.
What began as a fintech pitch quickly evolved into a deep engagement on Blockchain and AI technologies, and their transformative potential in port infrastructure and trade logistics.
More importantly, his firm encouragement helped us revive a solution we conceived three years ago—a solution previously turned down by local banks. Thanks to his vision, we reignited the project and engaged with other U.S. tech partners to bring it to life.
It is with this vote of confidence that the team returned again in July to present its broader vision to key stakeholders, continuing the dialogue on how emerging technologies can strengthen Cameroon’s trade backbone.
We’re now concluding beta testing and preparing to launch our Treasury & Trade Solutions in Cameroon. These tools are the foundation of modern trade operations, and we’re proud to bring them home.
