It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Gordon, President of Gordon Companies.

David had an incredible 60-year career in the insurance industry, which he began at the age of 18 when he received his insurance agent license. In December 1968, he founded Gordon Companies, which remains a family-run business based in New York City.

David worked alongside his wife, Vice President Goldie Gordon, and their son, Aaron Gordon, who also serves as Vice President.

Close client relationships were essential to David, and he would always take the opportunity to speak to clients directly.

David's legacy lives on through the Gordon Companies, and his dedication to putting clients first will continue to be at the forefront of the agency's values.

Our thoughts and condolences are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Coinsurance and copays are both important terms for understanding the costs of health insurance.

A copay is a set rate you pay for prescriptions, doctor visits, and other types of care.

Coinsurance is the percentage of costs you pay after you've met your deductible.

Employment practices liability insurance (or EPLI) covers the risk of having to payout such claims. EPLI policies often cover the business itself, as well as individuals like company directors.

Employment practices and liability insurance policies are usually written to cover cases that come out of unintentional actions (or failures to act) rather than deliberate acts of discrimination or other wrongful practice.

Today I announced on my personal page, Aaron Gordon, that my new motto for the year would be "Growth Only Comes in Failure."

As a business, this doesn't necessarily mean you have to fail in order to grow. But it means we have to enter the area/zone of failure to give ourselves the opportunity to fail so that we can grow the most!

Actual Cash Value is today's term to know! Actual Cash Value is the amount equal to the replacement cost minus the depreciation of damaged property at the time of loss.
