Different generations. Distinct perspectives. One shared opportunity to shape the future of work.

In recognition of , BNY’s GENEDGE Employee Business Resource Group hosted "Generations in Dialogue: Navigating the AI Era,” bringing colleagues together for a timely conversation on how is reshaping the workplace and helping define the future of work.

Representing different generations and career stages, participants shared perspectives on how curiosity, fresh thinking and emerging technologies can complement experience, institutional knowledge and human judgment. Together, they explored how we can harness AI responsibly, accelerate innovation and create value for our clients and our people.

A new space for bold ideas, breakthrough research and the next generation of talent is here.💡

One year after announcing our five-year, $10 million collaboration with Carnegie Mellon University, we officially opened the BNY AI Lab at CMU—an important milestone in our shared work to advance reliable, responsible and resilient AI for mission-critical applications.

The dedicated space brings CMU students and faculty together with experts through research, capstone projects, guest lectures and campus programming. Through this collaboration, $1.5 million is already funding 10 faculty-led projects selected from 115 proposals, exploring areas including trustworthy AI agents, AI-assisted modernization of legacy systems, verification of AI-generated code and human oversight of multi-agent systems.

We celebrated the opening with federal, state, and local officials—including Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato and Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development Secretary Rick Siger—alongside leaders, clients and partners from across BNY, CMU and the region.

Today across the country, our BNY teams showed up to turn remembrance into action with 9/11 Day’s .

Rajashree Datta, Chief Risk Officer at BNY, joined colleagues aboard the Intrepid Museum in New York City to help pack tens of thousands of meal kits for their National Day of Service and Remembrance event, honoring the memories of those lost 25 years ago today.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember. 🇺🇸

Kevin McCarthy, BNY General Counsel and member of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum Board of Trustees, shares his personal connection to the events of that day, and the importance of keeping its memory and meaning alive for generations to come.

We join the City of New York and communities around the world in honoring the nearly 3,000 lives lost, and the survivors, first responders and families forever changed. This remembrance is deeply personal for BNY. Our current headquarters stands mere blocks from the World Trade Center, and we were one of the first companies to support the creation of the 9/11 Memorial & Museum.

Today, that responsibility is reflected in the places and stories we help to preserve. The Survivors' Stairs—one of the last visible remnants of the World Trade Center, used by hundreds to escape that day—stands as a powerful symbol of resilience and renewal. BNY is proud to support the Museum's new “In Their Honor: 25 Years of 9/11-Inspired Service" exhibit, helping younger generations learn about that day and carry its meaning forward.

We remember. We reflect. And together, we ensure their stories endure.
