The Finest FCU is the only financial institution in New York State chartered specifically to serve the needs of all Law Enforcement Personnel (Uniform & Civilian), Retirees and all Family members

Chartered in 2015, The Finest Federal Credit Union evolved from the vision of a group of retired NYPD officers They believed their fellow officers should receive the best financial services in the marketplace. Services that are tailored to the special needs of our law enforcement officers and affiliated departments. These services will focus on the New York City Police Membership and their families. Regarding the formation of the credit union, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio praised the Finest FCU for serving police officers that take unique risks due to the nature of their job.

“It is common for peace officer organizations to establish specialized credit unions that provide savings, lending and insurance products that meet their special needs,” de Blasio said. “I am pleased to learn that a specialized credit union, the Finest Federal Credit Union, is being established for that purpose.”

The Finest Federal Credit Union was chartered and is regulated by the National Credit Union Administration, an independent federal agency regulating credit unions. It serves all law enforcement personnel in the City of New York. The credit union is not a part of or affiliated with the Police Department of the City of New York.

In observance of Columbus Day, The Finest Federal Credit Union will be closed on Monday, October 12, 2026.

We will reopen on Tuesday, October 13 with normal business hours.

Members can continue to access their accounts anytime through Online Banking and our Mobile Banking App.

Whether you need NYS CCW, Security Guard certification, LEOSA quals, or life-saving CPR/First Aid training, this is the place to go. The instruction is led by Craig Gresh a retired NYPD  Police Officer and Master Instructor, so you know you’re getting real-world, current best practices.

Highly recommend his facility…..for beginners, advanced shooters, or anyone looking to become an instructor themselves.
