Chartered in 2015, The Finest Federal Credit Union evolved from the vision of a group of retired NYPD officers They believed their fellow officers should receive the best financial services in the marke

tplace. Services that are tailored to the special needs of our law enforcement officers and affiliated departments. These services will focus on the New York City Police Membership and their families. Regarding the formation of the credit union, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio praised the Finest FCU for serving police officers that take unique risks due to the nature of their job.

“It is common for peace officer organizations to establish specialized credit unions that provide savings, lending and insurance products that meet their special needs,” de Blasio said. “I am pleased to learn that a specialized credit union, the Finest Federal Credit Union, is being established for that purpose.”

The Finest Federal Credit Union was chartered and is regulated by the National Credit Union Administration, an independent federal agency regulating credit unions. It serves all law enforcement personnel in the City of New York. The credit union is not a part of or affiliated with the Police Department of the City of New York.

It was another great day at the NYPD academy presenting to our new class of PPO recruits !!! We were given the opportunity to stress the importance of "saving now" and preserving and maintaining our credit scores. In attendance today was our credit union founder Retired NYPD Inspector Paul McCormack, Chairman , Business Development Director Mark Carlin and Our CEO Keith Stone.
