Listen… I’m not telling you that you can’t have a nice car or big house. You can!

It’s just that too many people only want these material things as a way to show others in the world that they’re wealthy and successful. You really start winning in life when your personal success is enough and you don’t feel the need to prove anything to anyone.

I’m urging you to become intentional around how you spend your money. If material items such as a luxury car or mansion will bring you personal joy and happiness, then I’d view them as a worthy investment! (If you have enough money to afford it)

But if you’re just buying these things to ‘flex on the world’… maybe reconsider your outlook on life.

Real wealth isn’t just being rich and having luxury items, it’s about having complete freedom and ownership over your time.

When in doubt, just zoom out

The stock market has basically gone straight up for weeks, but we’ve seen a slight pullback over the last few days and already people are calling for another crash.

It never ceases to amaze me how fast people turn bearish and start calling for a stock market collapse on the slightest bit of prolonged selling. Obviously this time seems different because of tariff uncertainties, but the reason for every sell-off seems different in the moment. It never is.

Remember, the stock market is one of the most proven and resilient wealth building mechanisms in history.

Long term investors get rewarded thanks to compound interest. But short term players get punished due to emotions.

I have a lot of friends who never went to college and yet they do extremely well for themselves. How so?

Trade jobs!

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with choosing a trade and learning to work with your hands.

Not only are trade workers the backbone of our economy, but there’s a lot of financial positives that come from choosing that career path!

For starters, most trade schools are relatively fast compared to college and WAY MORE AFFORDABLE. In fact, many places short on staff will actually hire you and pay for your schooling so that you don’t have to.

Then not having a monthly student loan debt payment when you start working is another huge pro. That money saved can go towards things like investing or paying down other debts.

Society still has this false perception that plumbers and welders are second class career fields, when in reality they are extremely well paid and honest careers.

Point is to never judge someone on their job, because they’re often times much better off than the person who’s choosing to judge them.

Who else thinks this is the best feeling in the world? 😌

My Roth IRA is my personal favorite investing account by far and I prioritize ‘maxing it out every year. Its tax advantages are too good to ignore!

Roth IRAs give you the ability to invest today knowing that all of your investments will be growing TAX-FREE forever. 📈🙌

I’ve always prioritized maxing out my annual Roth IRA contributions every year, but this is the fastest I’ve ever been able to do so and it feels great.

Don’t forget, that contributing funds to your Roth IRA and investing inside of it are two different things.

Once you’ve contributed money to your Roth, you must then use it to invest into assets such as stocks, ETFs, or index funds. Otherwise, it’s just a fancy savings account and your money isn’t growing.

Houses should be for people, not real estate portfolios!

We’re currently seeing an affordability crisis unfold in the real estate market, and something needs to drastically change.

And for once, higher taxes might actually the right answer. If we could implement a plan similar to the one I roughly laid out in this thread, we could effectively make single family homes less attractive investments for millionaire real estate moguls and hedge funds.

Doing so could alleviate much of the supply constraints and naturally bring prices back down to affordable levels comparable to the increases of wage growth.
