As we get closer to Pride Month, we highlight current findings from the LGBTQ+ Economic and Financial Survey (2023) that reveal the ongoing financial challenges that many members of our q***r community face. ☝️

From the pink tax to the high cost of gender-affirming care, the LGBTQ+ community often faces financial challenges that are not experienced by their heterosexual counterparts. For example, same-sex couples are often unable to access the same financial benefits, such as joint tax returns, spousal social security benefits, and inheritance rights. 😤

So as we get closer to Pride Month, let's work together 365 days not just 30 days to create a world where financial insecurity is no longer a barrier to success and happiness for members of our community. Let's champion equity over equality, support each other, and work towards a brighter future for all!

✨Gendered vs. Gender Neutral ✨

It's important that we take the time to educate ourselves on the language we use and how it can impact those around us. One area where this is especially crucial is in the use of gendered language and pronouns.

For many people, traditional binary pronouns like "he" and "she" don't accurately reflect their gender identity. That's why it's important to use gender-neutral language and pronouns whenever possible, to make everyone feel seen and respected.

Current findings from the LGBTQ+ Economic and Financial Survey (2023) highlight the ongoing financial challenges that many members of our community face. While it may be tempting to think that this is a problem that can be easily solved, the reality is that it is a systemic issue with no easy solutions. 💸

One of the key factors that contribute to this financial insecurity is discrimination. LGBTQ+ people are more likely to face barriers when it comes to accessing healthcare, housing, and other basic rights, which can further exacerbate financial difficulties. 😣

Being a nonbinary parent can mean different things to different people:
