Shepherd Home is a two bed home for the terminally ill, offering compassionate care to those determined by their physicians to be within the last three months of their lives.
A certified Hospice Agency refers a person to Shepherd Home and continues to supervise his/her care. Our care focuses on pain control, symptom relief and on meeting the spiritual and emotional needs of the resident, family and friends.
Shepherd Home's paid staff consists of an executive director, staff nurses, a volunteer coordinator and Administrative Coordinator. The heart of our home is a dedicated group of volunteers who so generously give of their time and talent caring for our residents consoling their families, and keeping the house and property clean and beautifully maintained. These individuals consider it a blessing and a privilege to share in another's final days.
There is never a charge to the resident or family, nor does Shepherd Home receive any insurance reimbursement. The cost of operating Shepherd Home is covered by donations from the community, memorials and fundraising activities
Shepherd Home Golf Tournament Fundraiser
Penfield’s Shepherd Home Hospice and Comfort Care is having their annual Golf Tournament on Monday, August 28th at Victor Hills. This is one of Shepherd Home’s BIGGEST Fundraisers of the year.
Breakfast and registration start at 8:30am with a shotgun start at 10. There are sponsorship and advertising packages available. Go to shepherdhome.org to become a sponsor or sign up for the tournament. The Cost is $125 for golfers or $40 to attend the Dinner at 5pm. The golf ticket includes green fees, cart, lunch at the snack bar and a steak dinner.
