Today marks yet another anniversary of September 11.
Twenty-one years have passed since that horrific Tuesday. It started as a crystal-clear blue-sky morning, but, in an instant, was overtaken with shock, confusion and tragedy. Some of us at our firm witnessed this horror first-hand and lost the dearest of friends in this senseless terror. This fateful day fundamentally changed us all, and as time inevitably marches on, we must never forget each and every life taken from us.
An entire generation was born into a post-9/11 world, making it hard for them to understand the personal experiences of those of us who endured it. That is why it is our responsibility to not allow that tragic day to be forgotten. It cannot be allowed to become simply a history lesson or a note on the calendar.
We ask you to pause and observe a moment of silence on Sunday at 8:46 a.m., the exact moment the first plane struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center, and again at 9:03 a.m., when the second plane hit the South Tower. Click on the link below to read the names of the nearly 3,000 people who perished that day. They had bright futures, hopes and dreams that will never become a reality. We owe it to them to keep their memory alive.
May the memories and spirit of those we lost remain in our hearts and minds forever.
With great respect,
The Atria Family
