I began group coaching actually back in 2019 and found that half of the people drop out of each group every year during the course (which was 5 weeks at that time). I made the course simpler. I made the prompts easier. I iterated on making the materials shorter. I landed on 3 weeks.
I have tried to encourage people through discounts (you get money back if you complete coaching!), through just pleading and asking, but the latest iteration is literally, the rule that I remove someone from a group if they stop. And that seems to have been the most effective change of all. It shows me whether you actually want coaching at this time.
If you truly want to change your life, you will do it. And once you start and see results, then your money transforms. It works.
I can choose not to care. I can just collect someone's money and go on. Plenty of finfluencers who sell courses know they can just make a quick buck from people who buy courses and never read / do anything.
I care too much to let that happen. But, I also cannot make people do something out of pressure. So for now, removing someone from a group (after a few warnings) has been the most effective way.
