Xylem is a water tech company using green bonds to fund initiatives which are saving more than 2 billion cubic meters of water every year. That’s… a lot of water. ⠀

You may not have heard the term 💧water technology💧, but water issues are becoming top priority for many American cities and towns as infrastructure ages and the climate changes. Water technology is key to meeting the challenge.⠀

Fortunately, engineers are on the case. Xylem’s robots traverse water pipes, finding leaks where humans can't reach. Computerized flood control systems help water managers react to storms and prevent overflows. Smart meters capture lost water and send alerts automatically when something's wrong. It all comes together to create an intelligent water grid that helps humans waste less water. Billions of gallons less, as it turns out. ⠀

Your bank’s investment policies matter for the climate. It’s past time for banks to lead the way to climate solutions, instead of continuing to invest hundreds of billions of dollars in fossil fuels.⠀

That’s why we’re building Marble. Our commitment to fund climate solutions exclusively empowers your deposits to create transformative change. Take that, !

Our model for climate impact banking could shift billions of dollars of deposits to funding climate solutions like Xylem’s. But we can’t do it without your support. We’ve set a goal of 10,000 waitlist signups to prove America is ready to bank sustainably. All it takes is 3 seconds and an email address to join 👩‍💻💕🌍⠀

Happy New Year! 🎉🌍

We believe 2022 will be huge for climate solutions (especially for those who sign up to the Marble waitlist 😉). Today we’re getting back into the swing of things with our third green bond profile: conEdison of NY’s smart meter project.

Smart meters create smarter power grids: they help reduce emissions, provide utilities with enhanced data on power consumption, and make it easier to connect solar panels. Installing 5 million of them across the New York metro area is no small task. conEd funded the project by issuing over a billion dollars worth of green bonds (CUSIP for the finance folks).

Marble’s mission is to empower our customers to contribute to transformative change simply by switching banks. We’ll deliver this impact through a bold commitment to invest customer deposits in climate solutions, such as conEd’s smart meter initiative, exclusively. But we can’t make this vision a reality without support from people like you. If you’re interested in a sustainable banking product, we’d love to have you on our waitlist. Sign up ➡️bankwithmarble.com.

In the meantime, we’ll continue spreading the word about awesome green projects happening now. Coming up next week: water technology from Xylem Inc. that is saving 2.4 billion cubic meters of water every year!

The buildings in which we live, work, and hang out use a lot of energy. Fortunately, architects and builders are getting better at making new construction more friendly to the planet. Ratings systems such as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) provide standards for environmental responsibility, and make it easier to understand a building's impact at a glance.⠀

MIT recently showed sustainability is a priority for their campus by constructing 4 new buildings meeting the LEED Gold standard, and committing to meeting the same standard for all future construction. Construction was financed through the issuance of a green bond (CUSIP for the finance geeks out there).⠀

At Marble, we've created a model for sustainable banking that could change the world. But we can't make it a reality without your support. If you believe banks should fund climate solutions instead of fossil fuels, we'd love to have your email on our waitlist at bankwithmarble.com 😇🌍🧘‍♀️⠀

According to the Rainforest Action Network, the world's largest banks funneled over 4 trillion dollars into fossil fuel investments from 2016 to 2021. Banks shouldn't profit on climate chaos, so we came up with a better business model: at Marble, every dollar deposited will fund climate solutions.
