“Republican governor of Louisiana Jeff Landry is facing a new recall, petition a petition for his potential removal as governor of Louisiana after he obeyed orders from Donald Trump to delay and postpone elections that are already taking place. The racist Supreme Court decision went after the voting rights act of 1965 even though elections are already underway. Republicans claim they need more time to redraw Louisiana’s voting maps to essentially disenfranchise, black and brown voters, but this is not the news they were looking for at all because Louisiana needs only 20% of registered voters to sign onto this recall petition by October so that he could potentially be removed from office. There will be no governor who is attempting to destroy democracy in the state of Louisiana.”
