Guys! Part of your credit journey is to pay down your debt, which increases your credit rating. But to be able to pay down your debt, you must have the money to do so. Financial rule # 1, you MUST pay yourself first! Before any money is allocated to anything else you NEED to set aside a consistent amount of money to build your savings. It's called a savings because that's what it will be able to do when SHTF happens. Try $25.00 per week, that's $100 per month, if not, a smaller amount like $10.00 (something!) that can provide a buffer for unexpected emergencies or an extra added cost in the budget. If you don't save your money, your money cannot save you. So pay yourself first! Develop this most important habit and times will improve. Start today. No excuses!

"I can't pay my bills!" If you find yourself in this scenario, you may be living above your means, "spending more than your earn." Start by cutting out all nonessential items. Make coffee at home, make lunch at home, no eating out, enjoy staycations, no online shopping, and cook meals at home. Ok, you've done all that, and you've come to realize that you have bills and essential costs that have risen due to inflation and your paycheck is not increasing. Always guard your credit and call your Utilities, phone, credit card and other companies and notify them of your situation, most are able to set up a payment plan with you so that you can continue to pay and not get behind. Take care of it right away, continue paying to keep your credit intact.

Friends! Do you know someone with good credit that will place you as an authorized user on their credit card to help you establish credit? Each transaction you'd make will be listed on the credit card bill and each time you pay off your purchases, a credit score and identity will be created. Try this method and Good luck!

Friends! It takes a massive amount of discipline to make ALL of your purchases with a credit card! Don't do it! With that being said, If you do happen to buy with credit card, you should use just one and pay the entire balance by the end of month.
