We take pride and joy in supporting our partners at Lawrence + Memorial (L+M) Hospital, and were honored to assist in providing toys to help children find calm and comfort when visiting the ER 🥰
When L+M Hospital put out a call to the community for toys and other activity items to help reduce the anxiety of children in the hospital’s Pediatric Emergency Program, employees in the L+M Credit Union took the cause to heart.
The Credit Union collected an abundance of toys and other items for kids, demonstrating support not only for our hospital but also children and families throughout the community.
As Craig Mittleman, MD, chair of Emergency Medicine for L+M and Westerly hospitals stated, these items provide “crucial distraction” during procedures, “foster a child-friendly environment” and normalize what is often a scary time for little ones.
So, thank you, L+M Credit Union – and thank you to everyone else who has also contributed to this important toy drive. Your compassionate investment in our vulnerable young patients is greatly appreciated.
