I wanted to thank our incredible community, friends, customers and overall kind hearts for the overwhelming support of the "Be A Dolly" in helping the Kevin Molloy - State Farm team along with Jacqueline Stocks-Rust owner of Customized Massage and Facials in providing 100 local families in Manhattan and New Lenox a complete Thanksgiving meal like the ones many of us will sit down to on Thanksgiving through our "Adopt A Turkey" program. Adopting a Turkey is easy, simply drop off $20.00 for one turkey or more if you'd like to adopt more than one turkey, we've already had over $500.00 dropped off at our office at 816 W Laraway Road. We're raising the bar from 60 families to 100 families. Thank You to Donna Novak from Berkots who arranged for the 100 turkeys at a discounted rate. In another month we'll post the types of foods for the meals we'll be looking to collect.@

The Week Two Kevin Molloy - State Farm High School Player of the Week was a difficult one because three great efforts were turned in on Friday to include LWW sophomore quarterback Davey Koszulinski throwing for 222 yards and 4 touchdowns versus Peoria in his first varsity start or Wilmington's Brysen Meents doing what no Wilmington QB has done in over a decade which was to throw TWO touchdowns in the same game (team threw five passes last year) BUT we decided to go with Brodan Mackert who made use of that monster Offensive Line in racking up 213 rushing yards on 26 carries while scoring FIVE touchdowns in Providences 39-24 win over Kenwood. Well done Brodan

Today we say goodbye to August and welcome in September. The Award Winning team at the Kevin Molloy State Farm office in New Lenox, a seven minute drive from downtown Manhattan would like to thank you for the love and support over the last twenty years. While the rates are the rates that State Farm sets, many don't realize we internally, State Farm office to State Farm office are independent from one another so when choosing WHICH office hopefully the experience within the four walls you choose matters. I've been a claims adjuster for five years and an agent forty-one years and can say I know this business as well as anyone and all seven team members are licensed by both State Farm and the State of Illinois. We're just a different experience than most. If you're looking for a quote why not give the Best of Will County six of the past years and the Best of Lincoln-Way six years running a call at 815 463-5800

The Molloy Experience is not just WHAT we do, it's HOW we do it

It was 2021 when I made my first trip out to Wilmington High School to present our first Kevin Molloy - State Farm Player of the Week award. While I can't recall the players name I can say it took me two minutes to know I was watching a great coach, coach a team of about 35 athletes. Each play was broken down and rerun to the smallest detail. Here. was a leader of men.

Five years later, he'll go down as one of two GREAT ones amongst dozens of REALLY REALLY good ones. Friday he and as he would insist his assistant coaches reached career win number 300. During the 33 years he had just one losing season in 1984, his first season, since then in the next 32 years they lost just 60 games while winning 297. While I bet he can remember a game or two or three or five, to include four State Championships wins I bet he can remember all 66 loses.

Coach Reents the Kevin Molloy State Farm team while out of New Lenox is blessed to have you as a part of our brand with the Pay Per Touchdown. You are a GREAT coach and an even better LEADER of men.

Congratulations and Im looking forward to seeing you in two weeks

Week Two "The Jake Report" Results Post.

Some things just overshadow the resluts on the field and last night Coach Jeff Reents and ALL of his assistants both past and present, players both past and present all can celebrate CAREER WIN 300. Im comfortably going to say I will not see another local coach achieve this amazing feat. Hats off to the Hall of Famer.

Now onto the games themselves
Wilmington not only won the game 48-0 they did something perhaps not done in thirty years. They THREW for two touchdowns. Last year they threw five total passes. On to the showdown at Peotone.

Speaking of Peotone Coach Tolly said before the season that this was going to be a special team with great senior leadership and last night he and his senior lead Blue Devils went up to Marengo and held that high powered offense to 3 points and proved "Jake" wrong with a 21-3 win. Now the two undefeated 2-0 teams clash next week in Peotone. Its going to be standing room only

Providence did what Providence does, they used that overpowering offensive line to impose their will on Kenwood Academy in New Lenox rushing for 300 plus yards and scoring five times on the ground in their 39-24 win. Tyler Plantz has a plan and this will carry him a long way

Lincoln-Way West and coach Lokanc had a short week to get QB2 ready for his first start and did they cone alive early and often winning 35-0. This defense is whats opening up "Jake's" eyes. Well done Coach

Speaking of well done Coach Dave Woodburn avenged last week's heartbreaking loss with an impressive beatdown of powerhouse Barrington in Barrington moving to 1-1 with a 28-14 win. This game was well in hand by the third quarter

Last but not least the Lincoln-Way East Griffins now 2-0 drove to Kankakee to take on a very athletic Kankakee program and came from behind to win 22-14 with the help of a punt return for a touchdown and a 47 yard FG to seal the deal.

Coaches Woodburn and Tolly "Jake" is pleased to be wrong. Well done men

If its Friday Night it means it's time for the Week Two "Jake Report" Week One was a great start to the season with the area being one spectacular catch away from being 6-0. LWC did everything right but the "catch of 2026" took away the W.

We'll start with the defending Class 2A State Champion Wilmington Wildcats who will be riding that bus home with the Hall of Famer Jeff Reents notching career win number 300. What an amazing feat we might never see again in our area. Wilmington 38-7 over Morrison at Morrison

Speaking of Hall of Famers, Coach Z will take his juggernaut LWE Griffins on the bus ride to Kankakee to face an explosive squad that might have a letdown losing their head coach to a removal of duties earlier in the week. Griffins 31-20 W

This one will sting but "Jake" to say what he feels. While Peotone is VERY much improved and has great senior leadership they still need to go on the road to face a high octane offense in Marengo and if this was later in the season "Jake" might see if different but in Week Two he sees this as Marengo 41-20

Coach Tyler Plantz will have to keep his squad from a letdown after the BIG win versus St Rita when the Celtic play Kenwood at home tonight and with that young but hungry offensive line and those two dynamic running backs "Jake" sees 250 yards on the ground tonight in a 31-17 win to move to 2-0.

Coach Lokanc will do what he does best which is to rally his troops around QB2 when QB1 goes down and just like four years ago the slowly get QB2 ready to run the offense. Look for a 27-17 LWW win over Peoria.

Last but not least Coach Woodburn has to get the boys up from a heartbreaking loss last week, they did EVERYTHING right but were the victim of "The Catch of 2026" which made it to the highlite reel on the Pat McAfee show. So tough. This week the Knights have to face 8A Barrington which might be a bit too much. Barrington 29 LWC 16

Look for the "Jake Report " recap tomorrow morning

Having read and watched so much about Dolly Parton's life over the past two days, it had me reflect on how I/we can all become a Dolly Parton within our own lives. How can we work together to be better. Since March of 2009 I've tried to take to heart Luke 12:48 in serving others so with that being said i want to ask/challange you to BE a Dolly Parton this Thanksgiving/Christmas Season. The "Adopt A Turkey" event started off feeding seven families in 2002 and last year we were able to feed 60 families. With the help of a LOT of Dolly's I want to reach 100 families through the Manhattan and New Lenox Food Pantry this year, to do this we need to raise about $4,000.00 in money donations/food donations of Thanksgiving meal type food. The Adopt A Turkey is donating $20.00 per turkey that well purchase through Berkots. Several have adopted more than one turkey and we're grateful for that.bLet's come together to allow 100 families to enjoy what we take for granted. In a world of messed up stuff lets BE a Dolly and change some lives
