Tanya Catanzareti recently joined the Gryphon Financial Solutions team in 2019. Tanya works closely with our Advisors to ensure all their contracting and licensing needs are fulfilled. Tanya has an extensive background in customer service and support experience. Prior to joining Gryphon Financial Solutions, Tanya was a Customer Service Representative and Sales Manager at Advanced Cerametrics Inc. for a total of 18 years. Tanya also has several years of office manager experience from her previous employment, where she provided administrative support, enabled the smooth running of a busy office, and contributed to running an efficient and effective team. Tanya is excited to bring her professional experience and skill set to Gryphon, and to provide the highest level of service to Gryphon’s Advisors and fellow employees.

Tanya, along with her husband, Tim, and their two children live in Lambertville, NJ.

Shawn entered the life insurance business as a debit insurance agent with an old home service company in 1982, and after a few years transitioned to an east coast stock company and became an “ordinary” agent. He quickly became a sales manager and then participated in a pilot program wherein the company brought six of their sales managers into the home office several times a year to train agent’s who were in their first three years of production. After these experiences he decided to open his own agency and did so in partnership with a P&C agency in 1989. Their first General Agent’s contract was with BCBS and Shawn concentrated his efforts in working with business owners and providing group benefits.

Ryan joined Gryphon Financial Solutions with 10 years’ experience as an Annuity Product Specialist and Case Manager after working with another FMO/IMO whose business was recently sold. Ryan specializes in annuity case design, product selection, and illustration comparisons. Prior to his time in the Insurance arena, he worked as a Jr. Auditor for a national mortgage company. Ryan loves baseball and is currently a coach for his son’s baseball team. He and his immediate family live in Lake Elsinore, CA.

Barry Yale Slocum is the President and Founder of Gryphon Financial Solutions. With more than 40 years of experience in the financial services and insurance industries, Barry is committed to the success of the Gryphon Financial Solutions advisors.

Barry works hands on with advisors to provide overall coaching and mentoring. He is their business coach and cheerleader. As a marketing consultant, he brings his years of experience to help each advisor in their unique practice.

A Penn State University Alum, Barry’s quality education not only serves as a rock solid foundation for his business experience, but also serves as a great source of pride. His business experience is the result of working for several multi-national companies, including Aetna, CNA, MetLife, and a well-respected FMO. The majority of this previous experience was spent successfully competing in the New York City arena; however, a few years spent in Cleveland and most recently in San Diego have given Barry a true understanding of the national market. As each position reached maturity, Barry looked forward to a new challenge, bringing his commitment to excellence and his passion for serving his clients with him. Building Gryphon Financial Solutions has been the culmination of a lifelong love and dedication to this industry.
