I have a goal—and I need your help!

This month, I would love to receive 10–20 referrals from people who already know how I approach insurance: with education, honest conversations, and absolutely no pressure.

Your referrals do not have to be local. I’m licensed to help individuals and families in five states:

Pennsylvania | Ohio | North Carolina | Tennessee | West Virginia

A referral doesn’t obligate anyone to purchase anything. It simply gives me the opportunity to help someone review their coverage, understand their options, and identify potential gaps before life reveals them the hard way.

If you know a friend, relative, coworker, or neighbor in PA, OH, NC, TN, or WV who deserves an insurance agent who will listen, educate, and treat them like a person—not a policy number—please introduce us.

You can tag them below, share this post, or send me a private message. Your introduction is one of the greatest compliments you can give me, and I promise to take excellent care of anyone you send my way.

This is my why. ❤️

September is Life Insurance Awareness Month, and as an insurance agent, I can talk all day about income replacement, mortgages, debt, final expenses and financial protection.

But when I take off my insurance-agent hat, life insurance becomes much simpler to me.

It’s him.

It’s the life Randy and I are building together.
It’s our plans. Our adventures. Our home. Our future.
It’s knowing that if one of us isn’t here tomorrow, the other shouldn’t have to face grief and a financial crisis at the same time.

I don’t have life insurance because I expect something bad to happen.

I have it because I love the life we’re building too much not to protect it.

And that’s what I want people to understand during Life Insurance Awareness Month. This isn’t really about a policy.

It’s about your WHY.

Your spouse. Your kids. Your family. Your home. The dreams you’re still working toward.

So I’ll ask you the same question I ask myself:

Who is your why—and if something happened to you tomorrow, would the protection you have today be enough for them?

If you don’t know the answer, give me 15 minutes and 5 questions. We’ll estimate what your actual need may be and compare it to what you already have.

No pressure. Just an important conversation worth having.

🍎 Back to school.
🎃 Pumpkin spice everything.
🏈 Football weekends.
🍂 And somehow… September is already here.

September is also Life Insurance Awareness Month, and I have one question:

Do you actually know how much life insurance you need?

Not a guess.
Not “whatever I have through work.”
Not “I bought something years ago, so I think I’m good.”

I mean an actual needs assessment based on YOUR life today.

🏡 Mortgage or rent
💳 Debts and other obligations
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Income your family depends on
🎓 Future education needs
⚰️ Final expenses
💰 Current savings and existing coverage
❤️ And the people who would have to keep moving forward financially without you

And here’s the best part:

Give me 15 minutes.

That’s it.

In about the time it takes to grab a pumpkin spice latte and scroll through your phone, we can sit down and determine what your actual life insurance need looks like.

You may discover you need more coverage.

You may discover you’re in better shape than you thought.

But either way, you’ll know instead of guessing.

Life insurance isn’t about expecting something bad to happen. It’s about making sure the people you love have a plan if it does.

🍂 This September, give me 15 minutes.

No pressure. No scare tactics. Just a real conversation, real numbers, and an opportunity to make sure the people who matter most are protected.

📩 Message me “15 MINUTES” and let’s do your Life Insurance Needs Assessment.

SHARED WITH PERMISSION

“Someday” has a funny way of becoming TODAY.

My niece and I have talked about insurance before.

Life insurance? Someday.
Taking a deeper look at coverage? Someday.

She’s in her early twenties. She just graduated college. She’s starting her life and building a budget. Like a lot of young adults, insurance wasn’t exactly at the top of the priority list.

Then her brother was seriously injured in an auto accident.

And suddenly, “someday” became today.

She scheduled a call with me.

First, we talked about life insurance—not from a place of fear, but from a place of understanding that being young doesn’t make you invincible. We found coverage that fits her needs AND her budget right now.

Then we reviewed her auto policy.

She had $5,000 in medical coverage.

We looked at what it would cost to increase that to $100,000.

The difference?

Less than $50 for the ENTIRE six-month policy.

Her response?

“Heck yeah.” 😂

Because after watching someone you love survive a major accident, those numbers don’t feel theoretical anymore.

Her brother has a great future ahead of him. ❤️ He also has a long recovery—and the medical bills that can come with it.

Thankfully, his story is one of survival and looking forward.

But his accident changed the way his sister looks at protecting her own future.

Now she’s encouraging her friends and the rest of our family to have their coverage reviewed too.

That is the message I want people to hear:

You don’t buy insurance because you expect something terrible to happen.

You buy it because if something terrible happens, it’s too late to go back and change what you had.

Please don’t wait for the accident.
Don’t wait for the diagnosis.
Don’t wait for the phone call that changes everything.

Have the conversation now.

Know what your auto policy actually covers.
Know what your life insurance would actually provide.
And make sure the coverage you have today matches the life you’re trying to protect.

“Someday” is not a financial plan.

Sometimes the most loving thing you can do for yourself and the people you love is make sure you’re protected before someday becomes today. ❤️

There’s something powerful about becoming part of a community that believes strong businesses build strong communities. 💚

This morning, I’m heading to my orientation with the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce, and I’m genuinely excited about what comes next.

For me, joining a Chamber isn’t about simply putting another membership certificate on the wall. It’s about showing up.

It’s about building relationships.
Supporting local businesses.
Learning from other leaders.
Finding ways to collaborate.
And becoming an active, contributing part of the community.

I’m excited to bring Comparion Insurance into the Greenville community—not simply to grow my business, but to become a trusted resource, build meaningful partnerships, and help individuals, families, and businesses better understand how to protect what they’ve worked so hard to build.

I cannot wait to meet more of the people who make this community what it is and discover where I can roll up my sleeves and get involved.

Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce — I’m officially here, and I’m ready to get to work. 💚🙌

“I have enough assets that I could afford to lower my insurance coverage.”

Someone said this to me this weekend, and it stopped me in my tracks.

Because my response was essentially:

Your assets may be the very reason we need to INCREASE your protection — not decrease it.

We sometimes think about insurance only in terms of replacing our car or repairing our home.

But liability is different.

One serious accident can change the financial trajectory of a family.

You cause an accident that seriously injures someone.

Someone is badly hurt on your property.

Your teenage driver makes one terrible mistake behind the wheel.

Suddenly, we aren’t just talking about fixing a car.

We’re talking about medical expenses, lost wages, lawsuits and potentially judgments that can reach far beyond the liability limits on an auto or homeowners policy.

And that’s when the things you’ve spent years building can matter.

Your savings.
Your investments.
Your home equity.
Your future income.

Having assets doesn’t necessarily mean you can afford to carry LESS insurance.

It may mean you have more to protect.

That’s exactly why conversations about appropriate liability limits and umbrella coverage matter.

Insurance isn’t about being afraid of what might happen.

It’s about making sure that if the unthinkable DOES happen, one moment doesn’t have the power to undo decades of hard work.

So here’s the question I wish more people would ask their insurance agent:

“If something catastrophic happened tomorrow, would my current coverage actually protect the life I’ve worked so hard to build?”

If you don’t know the answer, that’s a conversation worth having.

Not a sales pitch.
Not a scare tactic.
Just an honest look at your risk, your coverage and what you’re protecting.

Because “I have insurance” and “I have enough insurance” are two very different things.

What a GREAT afternoon at Rocky Springs Campground! 🏕️💙

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by today. What I hoped would be a chance to answer questions about insurance turned into something even better — engaging conversations, shared experiences, great questions, and some very real talk about insurance.

Because insurance isn’t just about policies and premiums. It’s about understanding what you have, why you have it, and whether it will actually protect you when life happens.

And an extra special thank you to my current clients who came out and joined the conversation. Hearing you share your own experiences and perspectives made the discussion that much more impactful. There’s something powerful about hearing from real people about why understanding your coverage matters.

I left Rocky Springs today grateful for the conversations, the connections, the laughs, and the opportunity to do what I love most — educate, answer questions, and help people feel more confident about protecting what matters to them.

Thank you, Rocky Springs campers, for welcoming me into your campground community. I had an absolute blast! 🏕️🐾💙

I walked outside today, looked at this ridiculous w**d growing out of a flowerpot, and thought…

Well, look at you. 😂

Nobody planted it.
Nobody watered it on purpose.
Nobody gave it permission to be there.

And yet this thing has apparently decided it is going to THRIVE.

It just keeps growing. Reaching. Standing tall. Completely unbothered by whether it was supposed to be there.

And I kind of love it.

Because sometimes life puts you in places you never planned to be. Sometimes the conditions aren’t ideal. Sometimes storms come through, things change, and the plan you had looks nothing like the life you’re actually living.

Grow anyway.

Take up some space.
Reach for the sun.
Put down roots.
Weather the storms.
And don’t be afraid to show the world just how strong you’ve become.

And yes… apparently my insurance-agent brain can even find a lesson in a w**d. 😂

We can’t prevent every storm life sends our way. That’s why we prepare for the things we can — and protect the people and things we’ve worked so hard to grow.

But the rest?

Stand tall. Keep growing. And maybe be just stubborn enough to refuse to quit. 🌱💚
