Our hearts are with everyone in our community who has been affected by the flooding. We know many families are facing damage, cleanup, closed roads, power outages, and a lot of questions about what comes next.
We also know there is an especially difficult reality for many people right now: most homeowners & businesses in our area do not carry flood insurance, and unfortunately, standard homeowners insurance typically does not provide coverage for flood damage. That means many of our neighbors may be dealing with losses from this event without insurance coverage to help with those damages.
Even if there is no coverage available through your insurance policy, please don’t feel like you have nowhere to turn.
Our office is happy to help point you in the right direction for disaster assistance, local resources, cleanup help, or other aid that may become available. You do not need to have a covered claim, and you do not need to be our customer, to reach out and ask us where to start.
If you are insured with us and have damage, please contact our office. We can review your situation with you, help determine what may or may not be covered, and walk you through the appropriate next steps.
And if you’re simply overwhelmed and unsure who to call, you’re welcome to reach out for that too. If we know of a resource that may be able to help, we’ll gladly share it.
This is a time to take care of our neighbors and our community. Please stay safe, never attempt to drive through flooded roadways, and check on those around you 💚
