Mortgage guidelines are often just as weird.

I still say it.

Four letters. One word. Absolute clarity.

In the civilian world, people want a three-paragraph email to acknowledge a meeting time. They want a "synergistic alignment on the upcoming calendar event."

I just want to say "Roger."

Because "Roger" means the message was received. It means the task is understood. It means the work is about to get done.

Efficiency doesn't need a thesaurus.

Transitioning out of uniform doesn't mean leaving the standards behind. It just means you have to learn to translate "mission-first" into "customer-focused" for people who have never stood in a formation.

The habit is hard to break. And honestly? I’m not sure I want to break it.
