Three people at the Fed just voted to raise rates. And if you're waiting to buy, you probably heard the wrong headline.

The Fed held again yesterday. But the Fed's rate isn't your mortgage rate. Your mortgage tracks the 10-year Treasury and mortgage bonds, not the overnight rate banks charge each other. That's why rates can move on a day the Fed does nothing.
