You guys know I’m an open book. Sometimes probably a little TOO open. 😂

So can we talk about something nobody really wants to talk about? Life insurance.

Because there’s this weird misconception that if you ever need it, you can just… go buy it.

Spoiler alert...You can’t‼️

You have to apply. You have to qualify. And yes, they can tell you no.

And THAT is the part I wish someone told everyone way earlier.

It’s so easy to say, “I’m healthy, I’m young, I’ll deal with it later.”

Until later looks different.🫣

Not trying to be dramatic. Not trying to scare you. This is literally just me telling you what I’d tell one of my girlfriends sitting across from me:

Don’t wait until life gives you a reason to think about it. Let's talk through it now.❤️

Figure out what you qualify for while it’s still just a boring thing on your to-do list.

Nobody wakes up thinking, “You know what sounds fun today? Life insurance.”😂

And the uncomfortable truth is that most people don’t really understand their life insurance if they have it!👀

Like… is the policy through work enough? Does it come with you if you leave? How much do you actually need?

Not exactly fun dinner conversation,😂 but neither is finding out too late that you didn’t have what you thought you had.

Exactly. 😉 That can actually be the point.

Whether you’re thinking about coverage for yourself OR you’re a parent looking ahead for your kids, starting young can seem awkward, but it actually have some pretty big advantages.

Age and health can play a role in what coverage is available and what it costs. Getting something in place earlier can mean locking in lower rates before health or life circumstances change.

And yes, life insurance for kids is a thing. It can be a way to protect their future insurability and, depending on the policy, start building value they can carry into adulthood.

Life insurance isn’t just something you think about when you’re older. Sometimes the smartest time to plan for later is while “later” still feels really far away.😉

For insurance questions, preferably that's us.😉

Like this one we recently were asked, "Does the color of your car affect your insurance rate?"

Nope. Red cars don’t automatically cost more to insure no matter what your neighbor's dog walker tells you!🤣🚗

What can matter? The car you drive, your driving record, where you live, how much you drive and the coverage you choose.

So go ahead, Buy the red one. But call us for the rest.
