Jones Barn
(Lampo Barn)

Oak Ridge Drive, Neosho, MO

This barn located on the property at 1200 Oak Ridge Drive was built between 1948 and 1950. Clive and Alma Lampo built the house on the property in 1948. The barn was built near the
same time using the same red brick as was used for the house construction.
The red brick barn featuring a gambrel roof has white wood trim with six eight-pane windows on both the north and south side. There is a loft in the barn with a window at the end of it. The the weather vane, featuring a horse, was added in the 1990s. The white wooden doors to the barn have been updated and are Dutch style doors with black iron hinges. The barn was originally used as a horse barn. There are stories of children playing in the barn in days gone by.
