Sometimes I end up connecting my clients through their stuff. As part of my service, I drop off items they want to donate as long as it fits in my van 😊. One thing was this really old copper colored file box. It was full of old military papers etc. of a client’s husband who passed a few years ago.
As I drove away with all of the things she wanted to donate, I thought about that box and how important those papers were at one time. I decided to ask my client if it would be OK to take this gorgeous box to another client who needed to corral all her greeting cards. She thought that was a fun idea. The box was in my van for a few weeks before I saw the second client. It really grew on me. It’s a gorgeous color that I don’t think the picture conveys. It even still has the key! Isn’t that fun?
When I showed up at the second clients house, I got a little nervous. I wondered if she would think it was a goofy idea to take this box and use it as a card holder. She seemed OK with the idea but not over the moon. Imagine my delight when, a few days later, I got a text saying that she fell in love with the box. Seems like a perfect fit. 🥰
