🦋 What does a butterfly have to do with fear, confidence, and financial decisions?
More than you might think.
Last Friday, I spoke at the 2nd annual Charles River Regional Chamber Women’s Conference and presented my framework, F.E.A.R. to F.O.C.U.S.E.D.: The Courage to Make Confident Financial Decisions.
During the session, I shared my personal journey from Corporate Auditor to Financial Planner, and how overcoming my fear of open water while training for my first triathlon became a turning point in my life.
The butterfly has become a symbol of that journey for me. Transformation isn't always comfortable. Growth often requires us to find comfort in discomfort and to move through uncertainty before we can see what is possible on the other side of False Expectation Appearing Real (F.E.A.R).
Together, we explored how fear, mindset, and our personal money stories influence the choices we make every day and how micro shifts in thinking can lead to powerful changes in our lives and finances.
Collectively we reflect on a few questions:
🦋 What is your F.E.A.R?
🦋 What story have you told yourself?
🦋 Who or what is the F.E.A.R stopping you from becoming or doing?
Thank you to CRC for the opportunity to share my knowledge and encourage to face and control their fear(s). It was time well spent away from my practice.
