If you've experienced tornado damage, here are some important insurance claim tips:
• Ensure everyone is safe first.
• Document all damage with photos and videos.
• Protect property from additional damage if it can be done safely.
• Save receipts for emergency repairs, temporary lodging if your residence is not inhabitable, and other covered expenses.
• Do not throw away damaged property until your insurance company advises you to do so.
