Today, again, I was asked:

On **Thursday, October 29**, I’ll have the privilege of speaking at the Donelson Hermitage Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Luncheon for this year’s **ROI of YOU** series.

My presentation is called:

**The ROI of YOU: Build Your House With Brick**
*Knowing Your Worth. Protecting What You Build. Preparing for What You Never Saw Coming.*

This one is personal.

We spend years building our lives. We build careers and businesses. We create homes and families. We save, invest, plan for retirement, buy the things we dreamed about, and work incredibly hard to create a life that feels secure.

But what happens when life changes without asking our permission?

What happens when **you** are suddenly unable to work or keep everything moving? Or when the spouse, partner, parent, or loved one you have always depended upon is suddenly unable to be the financial foundation you thought would always be there?

I’m going to share some of my own story, including a season when my family learned firsthand that financial decisions that looked good on paper didn't necessarily prepare us for what happened next.

And then we're going to talk about **BRICK**.

How do we protect our income? Our businesses? Our families? Our savings? Our retirement? And how do insurance, savings, income protection, and thoughtful financial strategies work together so that one unexpected event doesn't have the power to undo everything we've spent years building?

This isn't about planning from fear.

**It's about planning from strength.**

My hope is that every woman leaves thinking differently about what she has built, what she is worth, what she has protected, and what would still be standing if life didn't go according to plan.

We're going to learn. We're going to laugh. I'm probably going to tell you more about my life than I originally intended. 😂 And I believe we're going to leave with some very important questions to take home with us.
