When you put more money down, that cash becomes tied up in your home and is no longer easily accessible.

Depending on your financial goals, keeping some of that money liquid could give you more flexibility for investing, emergency reserves, home improvements, or other opportunities.

The goal isn’t always to put down the most money. It’s to put your money where it works best for you.
