If you back into your own garage door, the damage may fall under two different policies:

🚗 Damage to your vehicle may be covered by collision coverage on your auto policy.

🏠 Damage to your garage door may fall under your homeowners policy.

That can also mean two separate deductibles, so whether it makes sense to file one or both claims depends on the damage and your specific coverage.
