Have you heard of a High-Deductible Health Plan? Are you familiar with how they work?

A High-Deductible Health Plan, or HDHP for short, is a type of health insurance plan that has a higher deductible than a traditional plan. A deductible is the amount you pay out of pocket before your insurance company begins to pay its share.

While your monthly premium is usually lower for an HDHP, you may pay for more health care costs out of pocket. HDHP plans aren’t for everyone, but they have become more popular. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! This one hits close to me as I have known several people I love who have fought breast cancer. I also lost my granny to breast cancer.

This month, we come together to raise awareness about the importance of mammograms in the fight against breast cancer. Early detection can save lives, and regular screenings are key to catching breast cancer in its earliest stages.
