DISTRICT 2 Tennessee Farm Bureau Women met at The Gathering in Millington.
Agriculture in the Classroom activities were taught and shared to be used in classrooms across the district.

Helping make a BIG Difference in the lives of hungry Tennesseans!! To date, “Shooting Hunger” events have provided more than 2 million meals for those who need it most in our communities.

Again this year Davidson County Agriculture Partners donated funds from the “Shooting Hunger” event to the Nashville Food Project!

Tennessee Farm Bureau and Farm Credit Mid-America began a partnership several years ago to help feed hungry Tennesseans through regional food banks. “Shooting for Hunger” events allow Tennessee agriculture and Tennessee businesses to join together to fight hunger in our communities.

The Nashville Vet Center held a recognition ceremony to present Davidson County Farm Bureau with a Certificate of Appreciation for sponsoring their garden project. We were joined by Tractor Supply, who provided additional seeds and soil as well as transportation of the supplies DCFB purchased for the Vet Center.
In addition to the garden bounty, the garden project offers this group of combat veterans with the opportunity to learn about agriculture and experience the healing peace and satisfaction that comes from growing your own food! This also illustrates what can be cultivated even within a very small space. Wayne Dugger
