A common thing that I see in the insurance world is that people have a negative experience on a certain policy with an individual carrier, and due to that experience, they swear off the carrier for good.

I highly recommend not doing that because the likely thing is that you were simply not on a plan that was right for you. Insurance companies are like car manufacturers; just like how Ford has a plethora of models to suit different customers needs, insurance companies have a variety of plans to suit different peoples needs.

Swearing off a carrier just ends up reducing your options, and I've seen way too many people not choose their best option because they had a bad experience with a Mustang when they really needed an F-150.

The substantial rate increases and boosted subsidies are extremely concerning. The subsidies will not last forever and many Americans are going to be surprised with the bill that they end up with once they expire.
