Our family has recently welcomed 2 new additions! These are 11 week old Great Dane pups Ada (black) and Atlas (grey). They bring us and the kids so much joy! They typically come with me to the office Mondays and Tuesdays. It reminded me that while I have a family with pets of all kinds and 2 sisters in the veterinary field, not everybody has that luxury.

Pets make life better, but when they get injured or sick, they very quickly cost LOTS of money and can make for miserable decisions between your wallet and your pets life. As parts of your family this can make things super tough! These two are insured because I don't ever want to be put in that position. My sister tells me on average only about 5% of the pets she see's through her emergency room have insurance.

This is happening more and more every day. Our companies use inspections as well. The best bet is to have the yard cleared of debris, firewood piles not properly stacked for storage (away from the home!), and to make sure when we inquire about pools and trampolines you are honest with your insurer.
