Congratulations to Mr C.J. Naquin for receiving the U.B. Simoneaux lifetime achievement award at this years field day. Also congratulations to Josh Himel on receiving the Young farmer and rancher award. Their hard work they have done and continue to do for agriculture has made them well deserving of these awards. Special thanks to all of our guest speakers today. Their information and research is what helps make the sugarcane industry successful.

On June 5th - 6th, we will hold the Louisiana Farm Bureau Fishing Rodeo presented by Terrebonne, Lafourche, Assumption, Iberville & St. Mary Parishes in Cocodrie, Louisiana. Taking advantage of fantastic fishing, this is one of our premier fundraising events each year.

We had a great annual meeting! We are thankful for our contestants representing Assumption parish in the Louisiana Farm Bureau Convention.
We have a good thing going on in our parish. If your not a member consider joining so you help be an advocate for ag and enjoy the many benefits of being a member.

Had a great turn out today! We collected 2 whole gallons of blood!
Today was a success! Any little bit helps and we need to continue to give when we can. Only 3% of the population actually donate blood. You never know if you or a loved one will ever need to receive blood in the future. Please consider donating whenever you get a chance. Thanks to all who came today!!
