We’re proud to have a leader like Matt who is always looking for ways to learn, grow, and better serve the families who place their trust in us.

Matt recently spent a few days in Lexington connecting with fellow Thrivent advisors and leaders, sharing ideas and bringing home fresh perspectives for our team. We were also proud to see him lead their devotion!

He came home with a full notebook, renewed energy, and plenty of ideas we’re excited to put into action. There was also some golf, great food, and plenty of laughter along the way. 😄

And somehow, they managed to get almost everyone looking at the same camera. 📸😂

⛳️ What a day on the course! We had so much fun at this year’s Tee It Up with Thrivent event, surrounded by great people, plenty of laughs, and some pretty great golf! 🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️

One of the best parts of the day was seeing everyone come together to support Together We Make a Difference. Thanks to everyone who donated, we collected so many donations to help make a difference in our community! 💚

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day one to remember. We’re already looking forward to seeing you next year! 👋⛳️

📣 Welcome to the Team, Terri! 📣

Please join us in welcoming Terri Lavin to Endeavor Financial Group as our newest Office Professional!

Terri recently retired after an impressive 35 years of public service, including the last 19 years in education, and is excited to begin this new chapter with Thrivent. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Toledo and her master's degree in Higher Education Administration from Tiffin University.

Family is at the center of Terri's life. She and her husband, Scott, have been married for 24 years and have three children: Cameron, Sean, and Alex. This summer, they celebrated Cameron's marriage to her high school sweetheart, Emmet Perry, and this fall their twin boys will begin their junior year at BGSU. Their family also includes two dogs, a three-year-old German Shepherd and Jasmine, who is 15 years old.

When she's not at work, Terri enjoys staying active and spending time with family and friends. You'll often find her water skiing, snow skiing, riding her e-bike or scooter, golfing, or cheering on her favorite teams. 🏈🏀

Fun Fact: Terri's son, Alex, was a one of our interns this past summer!

"I’m excited to begin this new chapter and start a new career with Thrivent. I’m especially looking forward to meeting our clients, getting to know the team, and working together to provide an exceptional client experience."

When asked what she wants clients to know about her, Terri shared:

📚🐻 Action Team Spotlight: Girl Scout Troop 1118 🐻📚

Leadership isn't just something you learn about, it's something you put into practice.

As part of a community leadership program, the fifth and sixth grade members of Girl Scout Troop 1118 challenged themselves to explore what it means to be a good leader and how they could make a difference in their community. After discussing leadership and working together to develop a plan, the troop partnered with Way Public Library to host a literacy event for local children.

The scouts took ownership of the project from start to finish by connecting with the library, dividing responsibilities, and planning the event. Their hard work resulted in a fun Goldilocks and the Three Bears themed story time featuring storytelling, acting, songs, games, crafts, and coloring activities.

A Thrivent Action Team grant helped support the event, allowing each child who attended to receive a copy of The Three Bears to take home and continue their reading journey.

This project not only encouraged literacy among young readers, but also gave these Girl Scouts an opportunity to strengthen their own leadership skills through teamwork, planning, and service. By creating a positive experience for local families, Troop 1118 demonstrated how young leaders can make a meaningful impact in their community.
